GMC Envoy XUV...

The five-passenger Envoy XUV, introduced in 2003, was an attempt to create a combination of pickup truck and SUV. It featured a retractable rear roof section that slid forward, giving an open-topped load area. A 'MidGate' could be raised to partition the load area off from the passenger compartment; this was a solid, waist height plastic-lined panel and with a retractable glass partition for the top half. The Envoy XL was the full-size counterpart to the five-passenger mid-size Envoy. One unique element of the Envoy was the availability of a usable 3-row that was comfortable for a 6-foot (1.83 m) passenger in the, 7-passenger Envoy XL version. The GMC Envoy has a variety of safety features available as standard or optional.The GMC Envoy received a 3-Star Frontal Crash Rating for the Driver and 4-Stars for the Front Passenger. All areas including side-impact crashes received 5 stars. These tests were conducted by the NHTSA. These ratings pertain to the model year of 2002 to present. The GMC Acadia is a full-size crossover SUV from GM. The GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook share the new GM Lambda platform. The Acadia went on sale in the United States in December 2006, and in Canada in January, 2007. The Acadia replaces 3 of the 7/8-passenger vehicles on the Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealership network, the mid-size GMC Safari van, the long-wheelbase GMC Envoy XL/XUV, and the Pontiac Montana SV6 minivan for the USA Only. In recent months GM has also announced that the Lambda vehicles will replace the Buick Rainier, Buick Rendezvous and the Buick Terraza, and then subsequently the GMC Envoy and possibly the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, as a Chevrolet variant called the Traverse will go on sale sometime in the fall of 2008.[1] Read more....

Hummer H3 ...

Red Metallic and Desert Orange Metallic. The standard five-cylinder engine in all '07 H3s now displaces 3.7 liters and produces 242 horsepower (vs. 3.5 liters and 220 horsepower previously), which ought to address complaints about acceleration that plagued the smallest HUMMER model when it came out last year as a new model. The H3 gets a power infusion for 2007, standard StabiliTrak stability and traction control on all versions and revised paint choices (Midnight Blue replaces Superior Blue and Shadow Green has been discontinued) for 2007. Also new for '07 is an H3x model equipped with leather seats, six-disc changer with Monsoon sound system, chrome tube steps, chrome appearance package with bright roof crossbows and chrome fuel door. Hummer H3R...

The H3 loses slate blue, and gains Graphite Metallic – a similar color, but darker and with less blue tinge to it. The H3x gets a new color all its own – Carbon Flash Metallic. This color reminds me a lot of the metallic black color that was available on the 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha. It doesn’t appear that they’re continuing to offer the Desert Orange color in the H3x, but will continue with the Sonoma Red Metallic. Read more...

Hummer H3X SEMA...

Hummer is going to announce any new models at the 2007 SEMA show? No. Do we think there will be some new, unofficial products that will become mainstream for Hummer in the future? Yes. Our prediction for H2s is we’ll see a new, possibly larger wheel option (they’ve been stuck on 17 inches forever!). This will certainly appease the ‘bling’ crowd. However, what about the hard-core off-road enthusiasts — the type of person that had a moment of silence when the H1 was discontinued? Only time will tell, but we bet Hummer will have something to win back some anti-bling, off-road muscle points at the show. Read more....
